Full Name: Atticus Daegal
Nickname(s)/Title(s): The Fallen
Race: Human (birth nation: Namorn, currently resides in: Avalendor)
Age: 29 [December 12th, year DB]
Sex: Male
Height: 5'10''
Weight: In cloak, weightless. Actual body weight is in the range of 120
Build: Lanky, the coat makes him appear bulkier
Skin: Sickly pale in color, unseen under the hood.
Eyes: Gray in reality, but glow yellow while concealed under the hood.
Hair: Silver
Tattoos, Piercings, Marks, Scars, etc.: None, but he does wear glasses.
Religion: Being of a studious nature, Atticus chooses to focus less on the devine and more on the arcane.
Class: Wizard
Occupation(s): For coin, Atticus finds himself most often playing the flute. However, he finds himself unexpectedly drawn into adventures from time to time, which are often more financially rewarding.
Political Affiliation(s): While a kind soul and often the voice of reason, Atticus himself makes no claim to politics and often finds it less interesting than whatever book he may be reading.
Education: Apprenticed to the academy of mages at an early age, Atticus is trained in both traditional and arcane reading and writing skills as well as basic mathematics, history, and other general fields of knowledge.
Language(s): Common, Draconic, Elven, Goblin.
Special Abilities/Skills: Atticus is a skilled spell crafter and a gifted musician though he keeps the two parts of himself separate. His studies have caused him to be rather worldly and knowledgable, though lacking in actual experience. He has accumulated several spells over the years, including: Magic Missile, Summon Monster I, and all the Cantrips, all of which he can cast without a verbal component as part of his Silent Spell Feat. Whenever he encounters a new spell, he is ready to copy it into his spellbook, and is able to draft his own scrolls as well for later use. He is also highly aware of his surroundings, possessing the Improved Initiative feat.
Hobbies: Atticus likes to read and play his flute.
Serious Problems/Flaws/Addictions/Disorders/Disabilities: Atticus can never technically exist physically on the material plane without tremendous danger to everyone around him. Beyond his inability to interact directly with the world, Atticus' reading hobby tends to override his common sense as he loves books above all else. Literally any scrap of paper with writing on it is infinately fascinating to him and he will spend long periods of time studying the words, their meaning, the brushstroke, everything.
Current Relationship Status: Atticus shies away from intimate relationships out of fear of physically bringing the other to harm.
Other Biographical Remarks: Technically, Atticus is on another plane under his hood, and any extreme damage to the cloak itself could trap him in that sub-dimension forever, a fate far worse than death. On a comical note, this almost ghostly form of being causes him to be light as a feather, and extremely easy for even a child to physically push, shove, and even lift. His face and features cannot be seen outside of his eyes, which glow in the darkness.
Pre-Game History: Originally born to a small farming family in the rural parts of Namorn, Atticus was left at the doorstep of an academy of mages across the waters in the nation of Avalendor in the hopes that he could carve for himself a better future than his poor, lower class family had been able to create for themselves. He found himself growing up among the mages in the School of Transmutation, located in the Moving Hills. Unable to fit in due to his status as an orphan and seen by many as a burden on the shoulders of the Master Transmogrifist, Lucian Brightstone, Atticus found himself drawn deeper and deeper into his love of reading and playing the flute. He learned much and showed great promise, but when books on his level would run out, he'd always find himself wanting more. His curiosity would get the better of him whenever a teacher insisted that certain spells never be gazed upon and were thus locked away in magical vaults under the school. Despite every warning and a direct order from Brighstone himself to stay far from the vaults, Atticus nonetheless took it upon himself to sneak in late one night after many weeks of studying the guards' habits. He found a scroll of tremendous power and began to read. The result was disastrous. The dark power of the scroll tore at his body, transforming him into a being which could be used as a gateway for dark forces to enter the material plane. The power unleashed in so doing also destroyed the old academy, killing many who were still inside. Atticus was put on trial, and he was sentenced to death - however, the actual carrying out of the sentence proved difficult since the dark ones would often lash out in order to keep their portal. It was instead decided that he would be enveloped in a special cloak to contain his power and seal it away from the material plane. A noble from a distant land was called to create the cloak and Atticus was forced inside. The academy was rebuilt as a roving golem castle and placed under the protection of the Brass Duke. Atticus himself has since been kept under observation from a distance at the Rainbow Tower, where he currently resides. Though he can come and go as he pleases, the knowledge that he is always being watched by both the natural and unnatural world haunts him wherever he goes. Many who know of this tragedy speak of him in whispers as "the Fallen".
